11.3.1 General system design
For the visualization of the user interface, a separate 3.5 in. PC is used.
It contains a USB port controller, a touch screen as well as a graphic adapter for the
control of the TFT display. A dynamic RAM serves as main memory.
The machine control program, the language files including their associated character sets
as well as created cutting programs are stored on a compact flash card. In addition, this
PC facilitates the optional processing of CIP data and connection to a network.
Its operating voltage is 12 VDC which is supplied by the switching power pack in-
stalled next to the PC.
