Replacing the Upper Data Cable
1. Switch the power OFF and unplug

the power cord.
2. Remove the top shroud display bracket cover, see "Covers and Panels Replacement"
on page75.
3. Remove the console and disconnect the Data , Ground, and Heart Rate cables, see
"Console Replacement" on page93.
1. Remove the left outrigger side tube and disconnect the upper data cable from the con-
sole at the upper outrigger tube mount and the lower data cable at the lower outrigger
tube mount, see "Outrigger Side Tube Replacement" on page179.
2. Remove and replace the upper data cable thru the outrigger tube. Tape one end of
the replacement data cable to the console end of the existing data cable (upper out-
rigger tube mount). Before removing, record the length of the existing data cable that
exits the lower outrigger tube mount. Then grab the end of the existing data cable at
the lower outrigger tube mount and carefully pull the replacement cable through the
outrigger tube. Stop when the length of the replacement cable exiting the lower out-
rigger tube mount matches the previously recorded existing data cable outrigger tube
mount exit length.

Disconnect a device power cord plug or cable connector from the power receptacle or out-
let.
