All Consumables can be replaced by the customer without any tool or adjustment.
Consumables must be replaced in regular intervals. A usage longer than the expected
life time may reduce print quality and can damage other parts of the printer, in
particular a worn out Developer unit can damage the PC drum´s surface. The
replacement intervals are typical values averaged over a number of Consumables.
Therefore the lifetime of an individual Consumable unit might be shorter or longer.
The lifetime of a Consumable Unit depends on many influences; for example it can
be shortened due to:
- Media properties like vertical perforations, high paper roughness, paper thickness
and labels
- Application specific influences like high toner coverage or printing of vertical lines
- Operating mode like many start / stop cycles

Consumables Lifetime
The life time of the PC drum and Developer unit are determined by the number of
rotations and secondly by the number of printed pages. The number of rotations
does not directly correspond to the number of printed pages since PC drum and
Developer are rotating before and after a print job and also during start / stop .
The replacement intervals are based upon the usage of standard (laser type)
paper and continuous print operation.
The typical Consumables lifetime is calculated for a reference page of 11 x 15 inch (L
x W), 70 g/m² and one perforation per page.
