Backup๎and๎Restore
The๎Backup๎and๎Restore๎buttons๎provide๎for๎backup๎and๎restore๎of๎the๎ODU๎software.
Both๎buttons๎open๎standard๎MS๎Windows๎file๎dialogs๎respectively๎to๎create๎and๎read๎a๎file.๎
The๎file๎is๎store๎using๎a๎proprietary๎binary๎format.
Buzzer
The๎Buzzer๎button๎may๎set๎or๎mute๎the๎buzzer.๎
The๎buzzer๎tone๎is๎primarily๎used๎for๎ODU๎antenna๎alignment.๎It๎is๎of๎limited๎value๎in๎an๎nLOS๎
or๎NLOS๎link.๎The๎default๎setting๎is๎Auto.
Refresh
The๎Refresh๎button๎restores๎the๎current๎window๎to๎its๎previous๎state๎abandoning๎any๎changes๎
you๎made,๎provided๎that๎you๎did๎not๎click๎Apply๎or๎OK.
Deactivate๎Master๎ODU
Deactivating๎the๎Master๎ODU๎halts๎traffic๎over๎the๎link๎and๎drops๎it๎back๎to๎the๎default๎
transmission๎mode๎prior๎to๎configuration๎with๎one๎exception:๎The๎Slave๎ODU๎remains๎
โregisteredโ๎but๎inaccessible๎over๎the๎air.๎You๎can๎reactivate๎the๎Master๎ODU๎without๎need๎to๎
reโregister๎the๎Slave๎ODU.๎All๎of๎the๎Slave๎ODU๎configuration๎settings๎are๎preserved.
Deregister๎Slave๎ODU
Deregistering๎the๎Sla ve๎ODU๎stops๎link๎traffics๎but๎leaves๎it๎accessible๎over๎the๎air๎from๎the๎
Master๎ODU.๎All๎of๎the๎Slave๎ODU๎tool๎bar๎functions๎are๎available.
Note
A๎backup๎(full๎or๎configuration)๎may๎be๎restored๎to๎another๎ODU๎provided๎
that๎the๎product๎IDs๎and๎revision๎levels๎of๎the๎source๎and๎target๎ODUs๎are๎
identical.๎They๎are๎shown๎in๎the๎ODU๎Inventory๎window.
In๎addition,๎the๎supported๎bands๎and๎AES๎version๎(128๎or๎256)๎must๎be๎the๎
same๎for๎the๎source๎and๎restored๎ODUs.
