Cause:
Worm marks and creases occur when envelopes containing moisture is used and lose rigidity is lost
due to storage conditions or the conditions in which the envelopes are fed.
Fusing errors may be caused by the envelope nip width value in the initial setting being specified
incorrectly.
Solution: (Worm Marks or Creases)
1. If the paper is not registered as custom paper, register the brand of the paper.
2. In [Detailed settings] for the custom paper you are using, select 1241: [Fusing Nip Width
Adjustment], and then decrease the value in [Envelope] by 250 µm.
3. Print the image. Has the problem been resolved? (10 applicable envelopes)
Yes Go to the next step.
No Start over from Step 2.
4. Is the toner fusibility within the permissible range?
The required level of fusibility is as follows.
The printed image does not come off.
The toner does not come off even if it is lightly rubbed by a nail.
The toner does not come off even if it is rubbed by the cloth for cleaning the contact
glass.
