Granular Toner Stains on the Paper Edges (When Printing on Thick Paper)
When printing is performed on thick paper, granular toner stains occur on the paper edges up to the
tenth sheet or so.
M0EBIC0119
Cause:
Since the paper transfer entrance guide plate is located close to the intermediate transfer belt, the toner
image on the intermediate transfer belt scatters and accumulates on the intermediate transfer guide
plate. The accumulated toner layer remains still when plain paper is used, but when thick paper is fed,
the accumulated toner scatters and adheres to the paper.
Solution:
Clean the Transfer Entrance Guide Plate.
For details, see page 208 "Clean the Transfer Entrance Guide Plate".
White Toner Stains on the Background on Black Paper (Banding-Shape)
Cause:
In a high temperature and high humidity environment, the electrical charge for the white toner drops. If
printing starts in such a condition and a large amount of white toner is replenished, white toner stains
occur on the background.
