Banding in Solid-Fill Areas Printed with Metallic (Gold) Toner
Cause:
Due to the fluctuations in the speed of the intermediate transfer belt in the paper transfer unit and paper
feed speed fluctuation, toner adhesion fluctuates, causing banding.
Occurrence conditions:
This may occur when printing is performed on thick paper using metallic toner.
This is particularly noticeable with gold toner. It may also occur with silver toner, but is less noticeable
due to its relatively low visibility.
