Uneven Density between the Left and Right Sides (at 40 mm (1.6 inches)
Intervals)
Uneven density between the left and right sides occurs every 40 mm (1.6 inches).
Cause:
This is caused by the bias of the charged electric potential between the front and back.
This is prone to occur when printing on a wintery morning after leaving the machine idle.
Solution:
Print a halftone image with a density of approximately 50% and check if there is a difference in density
between the left and right sides.
If the uneven density occurs every 40 mm (1.6 inches), use the following solutions.
1. In the [Machine: Maintenance] group on the [Operator Adjust.] menu, execute 0501-01:
[Execute Process Adjustment].
Normally, the process control is automatically executed first thing in the morning, but in a low
temperature and low humidity environment, the adjustment of the charged AC bias may not
be sufficient by a single process control. In such a case, execute process adjustment manually.
