Creases on Thin Coated Paper
[A] Skew creases (skew paper bending or creases)
[B] Branching creases (alternating skew creases in a vertical direction)
Cause:
The difference in speed between the fusing roller and the pipe cooling unit's cooling roller causes the
paper to sag, resulting in paper bending and creases perpendicular to the paper feed direction.
This is especially prone to occur with thin coated paper.
Solution:
Cleaning the Cooling Belt of the Turned-Over Delivery Cooling Unit.
For details, see page 218 "Cleaning the Cooling Belt of the Turned-Over Delivery Cooling Unit".
