3.1.2) Checking starter reduction gear assembly
General NOTES: In one direction of rotation the two gear wheels can be
rotated together, in the other direction of rotation the two
gears move apart and finally lock.

Step Procedure
1 Cleaning starter reduction gear assembly (1).
2 Check the gear wheels (2) and (3) for wear.
3 Check the operation of the starter reduction gear assembly.
