2.5 Instruction and training
Instruct your staff carefully. Inform your staff about laws and accident prevention
regulations, and on the content of the Instruction manual.
Make sure your staff understand and follow this information.
Check staff on a regular basis to ensure they are aware of safety and the hazards
associated in their work.

of initial orientation before starting work (e.g., for new hires, transfers, etc.).
- After vacation and other work breaks, instruction and training can ensure a safe
resumption of activities.
- Document the content of training.
- Have participants confirm that they understand the training content.
- Keep these documents.
Section 2.5.1, "Sample form" contains an example of training subjects and a form for
confirming instruction.
