Crankshaft Deflection

Crankshaft

Crankshaft deflection is measured each end with
a dial indicator.
First, check deflection with crankshaft in
crankcase. If deflection exceeds the specified
tolerance, it can be either ball bearings wear, bent
or twisted crankshaft at connecting rod journal.
