Parameters
5.9.2.3.3 Hour
If the Hour parameter is activated, the diagnosis images are sorted by their recording time
and stored in a subfolder with the appropriate time stamp. A new subfolder is created for
each complete hour.
Storing data according to the recording time requires the device time to be set accura-
tely (see Device time).
It makes sense to store data according to the recording time if you have a high volume of
image files.
5.9.2.3.4 Subfolder Good Read / No Read
If the Subfolder Good Read / No Read parameter is activated, the images are stored in two
different subfolders depending on the read result (G
OODREAD or NOREAD) to enable easier
analysis.
5.9.2.3.5 Good Read / No Read file prefix
If the Good Read / No Read file prefix parameter is activated, the images are only given a
name supplement depending on the read result (G
OODREAD or NOREAD) to enable easier ana-
lysis.
5.9.2.3.6 Image file name
You can use the Image file name parameter to define the file name for the image files. The
image files are also given a sequential number, and if the Good Read / No Read file prefix
parameter is activated, a name supplement (G
OODREAD or NOREAD).
By assigning suitable file names, you can clearly assign the image files (e.g. to a project or
device).
5.10 Network/Interfaces/IOs
Settings for using the CAN bus interface can be made on the Network/Interfaces/IOs tab.
With the CDF600 connection module, SICK reading devices have a CAN interface that can
be used in the following ways:
• The CAN interface is used to integrate the device into a SICK network. In the SICK net-
work, only SICK reading devices can be networked via CAN bus. This type of device group is
used to scan an object from different perspectives and transmit the reading result to a host.
As far as the host is concerned, the device group functions as an individual device. The ma-
ster/slave or multiplexer/server operating modes are available for the SICK network. Both
operating modes can be combined.
• The reading device can be integrated into a CAN fieldbus system with no further specifica-
tion via CANopen. The SICK reading device operates as a slave under a CANopen client
(PLC) and can communicate with devices from other manufacturers.
The Network/Interfaces/IOs folder in the project tree contains all parameters for configu-
ring and activating serial interfaces, fieldbus interfaces, digital inputs and outputs, and bee-
pers.
