5.10.5.1.9 Heartbeat interval
The Heartbeat interval parameter is used to define the time between the heartbeat signals
in s.
5.10.5.1.10 Restart interval on sending
If the Restart interval on sending parameter is activated, the time between the heartbeat
signals starts again after output of the reading results.
5.10.5.1.11 Handling input data
The Handling input data parameter is used to define how the sensor uses data received at
the serial host interface.
• N
O INPUT DATA: No data is received at the interface.
• D
ATA FORWARDING: The incoming data is forwarded to another interface. Possible target in-
terfaces are serial aux, serial host, Ethernet aux, and Ethernet host.
• A
UXILIARY INPUT: The incoming data is output to all configured interfaces in the same way
as a specific reading result.
• EDS
TEXT ELEMENT IN OUTPUT FORMAT: The incoming data is assigned to the EDS variable,
which can be used in an output string.
For further details and settings, see Serial input data.
5.10.5.2 Serial Aux
The Serial Aux group contains the parameters for configuring the serial Aux interface. The
serial Aux interface is typically used to parameterize and analyze the LECTOR
®
620.
As the configuration of the interface on the LECTOR
®
620 cannot be changed, the settings
must be modified on the connected device (e.g. PC or controller).
5.10.5.2.1 Output format
The output format for the interface is selected via the Output format parameter.
• N
O OUTPUT: There is no data output via this interface.
• R
EADING DIAGNOSIS: This interface is used to output a diagnosis string for each reading gate.
• M
ONITOR SERIAL HOST INTERFACE: The aux interface is used to output the same data that is
output via the host interface. This makes it possible to check the data traffic for the host
interface.
• RDT400
PROTOCOL: A predefined data string is output via this interface. As a result, the rea-
ding results of several devices can be combined and evaluated using a remote diagnostic
tool (RDT).
• O
UTPUT FORMAT 1: Data that is output via this interface is formatted in line with the confi-
guration in the Output format 1 group.
• O
UTPUT FORMAT 2: Data that is output via this interface is formatted in line with the confi-
guration in the Output format 2 group.
