Parameters
5.10.5.1.1 Output Format
You use the Output Format parameter to select the output format for the interface.
• N
O OUTPUT: There is no data output via this interface.
• O
UTPUT FORMAT 1: In the event of output via this interface, the data is formatted in line with
the configuration in the Output format 1 group.
• O
UTPUT FORMAT 2: In the event of output via this interface, the data is formatted in line with
the configuration in the Output format 2 group.
• C
USTOMER OUTPUT FORMAT: Via this interface, the data is output based on customer-specific
formatting. The formatting is defined via the With number parameter.
5.10.5.1.2 With number
The With number parameter is used to specify the number of the customer-specific output
format.
5.10.5.1.3 Multiplexer output
The data output can be switched on or off via the Multiplexer output parameter.
5.10.5.1.4 Baud rate
You can use the Baud rate parameter to adapt the maximum transmission speed of the
LECTOR
®
620 to the host.
The value is specified in Baud/s. This value is used to define the number of signal changes
per second that can take place via the interface. Depending on the protocol, up to four bits
per signal change can be transmitted (e.g. at 2400 Bauds up to 9600 bit/second).
5.10.5.1.5 Stop bits
The Stop bits parameter is used to define whether 1 (typical) or 2 characters are used at the
end of a transmitted character as the pause (stop bits). The setting must match the setting
on the host.
5.10.5.1.6 Data bits / parity
You use the Data bits / parity parameter to define the number of data bits (8 or 7) and the
corresponding parity. The setting must match the setting on the host.
5.10.5.1.7 Hardware
The Hardware parameter is used to select the protocol (RS232 or RS244) for the serial in-
terface.
5.10.5.1.8 Enable heartbeat
If the Enable heartbeat parameter is activated, a signal is output via the interface at regular
intervals (Heartbeat interval). The availability of the LECTOR
®
620 can therefore be checked
via the interface.
