Parameters
for 2D symbologies
• SZ: Symbol size
• RES: Resolution of a cell in pixels
• CTV: Symbol contrast in %
• UECV: Decodability (unused error correction) in %
• MC: Number of multireads per code
5.10.6.3.2 Server/Client
The Server/Client parameter has the fixed value C
LIENT and cannot be changed.
5.10.6.3.3 IP port
The IP port parameter is used to adapt the port number for the Ethernet Aux interface (de-
fault value: 2111) to the connected PC or the controller (PLC).
5.10.7 Ethernet/IP
The device communication via Ethernet/IP can be activated and configured on the
Ethernet/IP tab.
5.10.7.1 Ethernet/IP
The device communication via Ethernet/IP can be activated and configured in the Ethernet/
IP group.
5.10.7.1.1 Activate Ethernet/IP
The device communication via Ethernet/IP is activated/deactivated via the Activate Ether-
net/IP parameter. Once Ethernet/IP has been activated, the reading device must be restar-
ted.
5.10.7.1.2 Communication protocol
A communication mode for exchanging data between the reading device and host is selec-
ted via the Communication protocol parameter.
• W
ITHOUT HANDSHAKE: The protocol type outputs the telegram directly. The mode does not
function with handshakes. A repeat request is not processed.
• W
ITH HANDSHAKE: The protocol type outputs the telegram directly. The mode functions with
handshakes. A repeat request is processed.
If several data telegrams are sent at the same time, the "With handshake" mode must
be used to prevent data loss.
5.10.7.1.3 Protocol/Output format
An output format is assigned to the interface via the Protocol/Output format parameter.
Output formats are defined under D
ATA PROCESSING.
5.10.7.1.4 Assembly size output on the PLC
The Assembly size output on the PLC parameter identifies the size of the incoming tele-
grams from the PLC in bytes. Values can be specified between 8 and 500 bytes.
