5.10.6 Ethernet
The Ethernet tab contains all of the parameters for configuring the Ethernet interface. The
device address and the configuration data for the host and aux ports can be entered on the
tab.
5.10.6.1 Ethernet General
The Ethernet General group contains general parameters for configuring the Ethernet inter-
faces (Host and Aux).
5.10.6.1.1 Addressing Mode
You use the Addressing Mode parameter to define whether the IP address for the LEC-
TOR
®
620 is to be defined manually (STATIC) or by a server (DHCP).
5.10.6.1.2 IP address
The IP address parameter is used to manually define the Ethernet address for the LEC-
TOR
®
620. A prerequisite for this is a connection with the LECTOR
®
620 in the SERVICE user
level.
It is possible to use the connection wizard to change the IP address and Subnet-Mask
parameters in the A
UTHORIZED CLIENT user level.
The Ethernet address must match the setting for the Subnet-Mask parameter and must be
adapted in line with the network.
5.10.6.1.3 Subnet-Mask
The Subnet-Mask parameter is used to define the bit mask or prefix mask for network pro-
tocol IPv4 and IPv6. A prerequisite for this is a connection with the LECTOR
®
620 in the
S
ERVICE user level.
It is possible to use the connection wizard to change the IP address and Subnet-Mask
parameters in the A
UTHORIZED CLIENT user level.
The setting must be adapted to the network.
5.10.6.1.4 Default gateway
The Default gateway parameter can be used to specify the IP address of a gateway for im-
plementation of the network protocol. A prerequisite for this is a connection with the LEC-
TOR
®
620 in the SERVICE user level.
