The parameter is used in connection with the CMF400 operating mode to assign properties
to PLC inputs. As there is no opportunity to use triggers during the CMF400 communication
mode, instructions can be issued via the input properties.
5.10.11.2 Profibus/DeviceNet/Profinet Gateway CMF400/CDM425
Via the parameters for the Profibus/DeviceNet/Profinet Gateway CMF400/CDM425 group,
gateways are selected for interfaces that are used to integrate the reading device into the
required fieldbus system or Industrial Ethernet standard. The selected gateway must corre-
spond to the features of the connection module in use.
It is recommended to connect the gateway to the host interface and only use the auxili-
ary interface if 2 gateways are connected to the connection module CDM4xx.
5.10.11.2.1 Serial auxiliary interface.
The fieldbus gateway used on the serial auxiliary interface via the connection module
CDM4xx is specified under the Serial auxiliary interface. parameter.

ONE: There is no connection module connected to the fieldbus gateway.

ROFIBUS DP: The connection module CMD4xx is fitted with a Profibus CMF card that acts
as a gateway into the Profibus DP fieldbus system.

EVICENET: The connection module CMD4xx is fitted with a DeviceNet CMF card that acts
as a gateway into the DeviceNet fieldbus system.
To use the interface, the switch on the gateway must be in the AUX position.
5.10.11.2.2 Serial host interface.
The fieldbus gateway used on the serial host interface via the connection module CDM4xx
is specified under the Serial host interface. parameter.
