5.10.10.1.3 Device ID
The Device ID parameter displays the device ID that was assigned under Network/Interfac-
es/IOs. The device is assigned a unique number in the network in the form of the device ID.
The assigned ID is used as a CAN node for the CAN bus.
The device must be clearly identified on the network to enable communication via CAN bus
and to assign reading results to devices.
5.10.10.1.4 Data transmission rate
The maximum transmission rate can be adjusted via the Data transmission rate parameter.
The value is provided in bits/s.
All devices in the CAN network must be operated at the data transmission rate. The ma-
ximum length of cable for the network is dependent on the data transmission rate.
5.10.10.1.5 Output format
An output format is assigned to the interface via the Output format parameter.
Output formats are defined under Data processing.
5.10.10.1.6 Enable heartbeat
If the Enable heartbeat parameter is activated, a signal is output via the interface at regular
intervals (Heartbeat interval). The availability of the reading device can therefore be chek-
ked via the interface.
5.10.10.1.7 Heartbeat interval
The Heartbeat interval parameter is used to define the time between the heartbeat signals
in seconds.
5.10.10.1.8 Restart interval on sending
If the Restart interval on sending parameter is activated, the time between the heartbeat
signals starts again after output of the reading results.
5.10.10.1.9 Mask for digital input
A filter for the digital input bits that is used to integrate the device into a second fieldbus for
assigning the data is entered via the Mask for digital input parameter.
Example: All bits are active when 0xFFF is entered.
To assign the digital CAN input bits, see COB ID RPDO digital input.
