5.10.11.4.4 Data transmission rate
The maximum transmission rate can be adjusted via the Data transmission rate parameter.
The value is provided in bits/s.
5.10.11.4.5 Useful input data length
The length of the input data for the PLC or master is determined via the Useful input data
length parameter.
5.10.11.4.6 Useful output data length
The length of the output data to the PLC or master is determined via the Useful output data
length parameter.
5.10.11.5 Profinet IO gateway CDM425-PN
The Profinet IO gateway CDM425-PN group contains the parameters for the Profinet IO set-
tings.
5.10.11.5.1 DHCP
If the DHCP parameter is activated, a DHCP server from the corporate network automatical-
ly provides the gateway with an IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway address. The
addresses must not be entered manually.
5.10.11.5.2 IP address
The Ethernet address for the Profinet IO gateway is set manually via the IP address parame-
ter.
5.10.11.5.3 Subnet mask
The bitmask or prefix mask for network protocol IPv4/IPv6 is manually defined via the
Subnet mask parameter.
5.10.11.5.4 Default gateway
The default gateway address is defined manually via the Default gateway parameter. The
default gateway redirects all network activity that does not belong to this subnetwork into
another subnetwork.
5.10.11.5.5 Station name
A name for the PROFINET IO gateway is defined via the Station name parameter.
The following naming conventions apply:
• The station name consists of letters, digits, a dash or period, and must not exceed 127
characters.
• A single component of the device name, i.e., a string of characters between two periods,
must not exceed 63 characters.
• With the exception of hyphens, special characters must not be used.
• The device name must not start or end with a hyphen or period.
