Voice Mail protocol for the system:
The Voice Mail signals to indicate when there is a message waiting at an extension’s
mailbox. For this purpose it uses a DTMF service code (*68) followed by the exten-
sion number. When a message is erased, a different DTMF code (#68) is used to de-
activate the signal at the extension that belongs to the VMIe Group. In the event
these codes are not supported by the Voice Mail System they can be re-programmed.
Please refer to “Deactivate Internal MWI #68” and “Activate Internal MWI *68” in
the ”System Settings - Service Codes” folder, in the HiPath 1100 Manager.
Example:
1. The Voice Mail System indicates that Extension 13 has a message waiting in
mailbox: *6813
2. The Voice Mail System indicates that the mailbox for Extension 12 is empty:
#6812.
