5.3.1 Switching mode
The switching mode of a batch will determine the execution of the control
recipe. The settings do not apply to batch control as a whole but always to a
specific batch.
The switching mode determines how the transitions switch during recipe
execution. It can be changed before the batch starts or even while the batch is
in progress.
Batch control recognizes the following switching modes:

In SSMT switching mode (which corresponds to AUTO) a transition switches
when its conditions are satisfied and no operator intervention is necessary.
The acknowledgement button is not displayed.
In SSMTUB switching mode (which corresponds to SEMIAUTO) the
transition switches when its conditions are satisfied and when you
subsequently press the acknowledgement button. The acknowledgement
button does not appear until all transition conditions have been satisfied. It
disappears after an operator action or if the transition conditions are no
longer satisfied.

Caution
Resuming by acknowledging will not work unless the transition conditions
are satisfied at the time the acknowledgement button is pressed.
