1.5.1 BATCH Broker
The background application ‘BATCH Broker‘ does not have a user interface
and is used for distributing the BATCH applications over several computers.
With multi-user systems where distribution of the BATCH applications is
desired, BATCH Broker will be installed on all participating PCs.
BATCH Broker is not required for a single-user system.

Where necessary, BATCH Broker is started and ended implicitly by BATCH
applications.
BATCH Broker handles computer-to-computer communications (for
example, object updating) via Transmission Control Protocol / Internet
Protocol (TCP / IP). This service should be configured before startup in the
Windows95/NT operating system.
