As an aid to better understanding, Table 3-2 lists the possible status displays
of the recipes with their meanings:

Status displays of the recipes
Status Meaning
Incomplete Starting status of a newly created (inserted) or copied recipe
Release
canceled
If a recipe has already been released for production, it can
reach this status via ’Cancel release’ (in order to be able to
modify it if required). This status is also reached by plant
and/or production data being modified.
Released for
production
The only difference between the two statuses is that
different rights are in practice usable with different user
routines (for example, test mode with water...). In order to
be able to reach one of these statuses, the plausibility test is
carried out first.
Recipes released for testing can be released for production
Released for
testing
Recipes released for testing can be released for production
without it being necessary to run the plausibility check
again.
Various recipe statuses arise following ’Cancel release’ or
’Change configuration’ (see Figure 3-7, Page 3-13). Only
test batches can be generated from recipes released for
testing.
In BOM it is only possible to create a recipe via the ’Insert’menu. To do so,
first of all type the recipe header data into the screen form ”General’ (see
Page 4-30). Following the ’Insert’ function (closing the recipe mask) the
recipe will have the state ’incomplete’. To edit the SFC recipe structure,
’open’ the recipe (with simultaneous starting of the Recipe Editor
application) by double-clicking on the recipe in the recipes list. Editing going
beyond this is now only possible with the recipe editor and will therefore be
described in Chapter 4 (Recipe creation).
By double-clicking on a recipe it will be ’opened’. The corresponding
application, the recipe editor, is started with the recipe. However if the recipe
editor has already been started, the new recipe will also be opened and
displayed as a SFC in a second recipe window. In this case as well, further
editing is described in Chapter 4 (Recipe creation).
