The basic procedure for starting a batch is as follows:
1. Read batch data from the database
2. Open the new window, display recipe (only when the switching mode is
not SSMT)
3. Start execution of the control recipe (recipe execution)
Batch control now goes into the active state, in which it waits for the
following events:
R The OS signals parameter changes
R Release of new batches
R An action performed by the operator
The objects which are to be executed (AFs, transitions) are derived from the
topological information in the control recipe. The following steps are
performed during execution of the AF:
R Control recipe parameters are written to the AF interface blocks
R The corresponding AF processing block is started
R Monitoring of the AF block status is reported to the OS data manager
R Waiting for notification by the OS data manager (parameter change)
R Check subsequent transition(s) when the end message of the AF is
received
R Transition parameters are monitored
