A
A structure element which consists of at least two chains but only one of
these is processed by the PLC, namely the one whose first transition
condition is true (chain selection).
An apparatus (plural: apparatuses or equipment) is a technical object in
which in which substances or materials are transformed. One or more
apparatuses may constitute a process cell or unit. In BATCH flexible shared
resources are also referred to and used as apparatuses.
An apparatus recipe is a recipe which relates to apparatus. This does not
however mean that it restricted to just one apparatus. It has a single-level
subclassification. In principle it is a considerably simplified version of the
full NAMUR recipe.
An automation functions is a block which is assigned to an apparatus. It is
generated when the process cell is configured, is decclared as an action
during recipe creation and thus activated by batch control during on-line
operation.
An automation system for use with BATCH flexible must be a PLC S7-400.
