Regardless of the con󹪝guration, you also can de󹪝ne the DC braking as a reaction to certain
converter faults.
WARNING
Unexpected motor acceleration
In the following con󹪝gurations, the converter can accelerate the motor to the set speed
without requiring a further ON command:
- DC braking initiated by a control command
- DC braking when falling below a starting speed
An unexpected acceleration of the motor can cause serious injury or material damage.
Consider the behavior of the drive in the higher-level controller.

Set p1231=4 and p1230=control command.
The control command "DC braking activation" activates and deactivates the DC braking:
1 signal:
The converter de-energizes the motor for the motor de-excitation time p0347 in order to
demagnetize the motor.
The converter activates the DC braking.
0 signal: The drive switches back to normal operation.
