6.2.2 Calling the function block (FB)
Introduction
Call the FB WP351 [FB351] separately once for each electronic weighing system cyclically in
the user program. For each call of the FB, adapt the input parameters to the electronic weighing
system. Each electronic weighing system has a unique HW ID and its own interface DB. The
interface DB contains all weighing parameters. The PLC data types of the interface DB can be
found in the TIA Portal example project. Copy the PLC data types from the example project into
the target project.
Requirement
The following FW versions are required in the S7 controllers so that you can work with the FB:
CPU FW version
S7-1200 ≥ V4.2
S7-1500 ≥ V2.0
Procedure
1. Copy the FB, the interface DB and the associated UDTs from the example project into the
destination project.
2. Call the FB in the user program.
3. Assign the electronic weighing system for the parameter HW ID "HW_ID".
