6.4.5 DTI Discontinuous totalizing automatic weighing instrument
In THW weighing operating mode, you can use the electronic weighing system for loading or
receiving mode. The difference between loading and receiving operation is the specification of
a desired loading quantity (=total set point DR 21). This desired loading quantity is loaded
automatically in single fillings (=set point DR 20). For example when loading a ship.
When the loading quantity is set to 0, the electronic weighing system works in receiving
operation. Receiving operation means that "n" single fillings are automatically totaled. For
example when unloading a ship.
Select mode A or B for the THW weighing operating mode.
Mode A Mode B
If you are using a poorly flowing material, select mode A. The
content of the weighing container may not be fully emptied.
If you are using a free flowing material, select mode B. The
content of the weighing container is usually fully emptied.

PLC sends set point (DR 20), total set point (DR 21) and material parameters (DR 23) to the electronic
weighing system.
0 Waiting for command.
PLC sends "Start" command (e.g. 1103 or 1123) to the electronic weighing system.

Consequence
● If the total set point has not been reached or the electronic weighing system is in receiving mode,
the electronic weighing system automatically jumps to weighing step 1.
● When the total set point has been reached, the status bit "Batch completed" is set in DR 30. The
total 1 is automatically saved in the alibi memory. The total is reset and the electronic weighing
system waits in weighing step 0 for a new command.
