6.4.6 Pausing and Reviewing Active Data
During normal operation, data from the vehicle’s ECM is continuously being stored in
buffer memory as it is displayed onscreen. The Pause icon, allows you to temporarily
pause data collection to review it in detail.
z To pause and review active data:
While collecting data, select the Pause icon (Figure 6-31).

Toolbar control icons are described in Scanner Control Icons on page 27 and
Common Toolbar Control Icons on page 9.
After Pause is pressed:
Review control icons are displayed in the toolbar (Figure 6-32). Use the control
icons to accurately move through the data and position the blue cursor.
The blue (vertical cursor) (Figure 6-32) indicates your position in the data and
is denoted by the current position value in the counter display. This cursor
displays in all PIDs.

The Shortcut icon can be set to perform the Pause/Play function. See
