10 System Troubleshooting
10.2.2 Operating Faults
Fault Description Solution
Flashing Probe Icons
Probe icons appear after the
system enters the Exam screen,
but they are constantly flashing.
Replace the probes.
Ensure the probe and VBF
boards are connected well or
there are no dry joints.
Unable to select probe
Probe cannot be selected or in
partial display.
Ensure the probe board works
well
Ensure no sound produced when
selecting a probe.
Ensure the probe and VBF
boards are connected well.
No initial echo on the
image
No initial echo displayed on the
image.
Ensure voltages on the high-
voltage board are normal.
Ensure there are high voltage
output.
Ensure the VBF board works
well.
Trackball Malfunction
The Set key cannot respond.
The Update key cannot
respond.
The cursor cannot be moved
by using the trackball.
Reboot the system.
Clean the trackball.
If the fault cannot be solved,
replace the trackball.
Auto Shutdown
The ultrasound system
automatically shuts down when
you perform general system
operations, such as performing
measurements, connecting
the USB drive or freezing an
image.
Identify the operation causing
the auto shutdown, and inform
the malfunction frequency to the
manufacturer.
Update the system software.
Monitor Color Deviation
The monitor displays non-
homogeneous with spots.
Swivel the monitor, and its
degaussing circuit could
eliminate color deviation.
If the fault cannot be solved,
replace the monitor.
