Carefully pipette 3.0 ml
of the depleted sample
into a reaction cell, close
tightly with the screw cap,
and mix vigorously.
Caution, the cell
becomes hot!

of the depleted blank
into a second reaction
cell, close tightly with the
screw cap, and mix vigor-
ously.
Caution, the cell
becomes hot!

Heat both cells in the
thermoreactor at 148 °C
for 2 hours.
Remove both cells from
the thermoreactor and
place in a test-tube rack
to cool.
Swirl both cells after
10 minutes.
Replace both cells in the
rack for complete cool-
ing to room temperature.
(Very important!)

swirling.
Configure the photometer
for blank-measurement.
Place the cell
containing
the sample
into the cell
compartment. Align the
mark on the cell with that
on the photometer.
Place the blank cell into
the cell compartment.
Align the mark on the cell
with that on the photo-
meter.
