Suzuki LT-Z400 2003 - Cylinder Head

• I nstall the cam ch ain guide CD.
NO TE :
Make sure that the guide CD is inserted properly or binding of the
cam chain and g uide may result.
• Inst all the dowel pins ~ and new gasket @.
I CAUTION I
Use a new cylinder head gasket to prevent gas leak-
age.
CYLINDER HEAD
• Wi th the head snugly seated on the cyli nder, secure it by
tightening the bolts in diagonal stages. Tighten the cyli nder
h ead bo l ts d iagonally to the speci f ied to rq ue.

NOTE:
Inllial : 25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.0 Ib-It)
Final: 46 N·m (4.6 kgf-m, 33. 5Ib - It)
• Apply engine oil to the threaded parts of the cylinder head
bol ts and its washers.
* Be sure to ins tall the washer wi th rounded side facing up .
• A fter tightening the cyli n der head bol ts to specif i cat i on , tighten
the cylinde r head bo l ts CD and cylinder nuts (2) to the speci f ied
to rqu e.
~ Cylinder head boll : 10 N·m (1 .0 kgf -m, 7.0 Ib- It)
Cylinder nul: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf -m, 7.0 Ib- It)
