STARTER TORQUE LIMITER

Iter. It Is unserviceable .
Check the slip torque at the starter torque limiter using the spe-
cial
tools and vise as shown, if th e slip torque is not wi th in th e
specified torque, replace the starter torque limiter with a new
one .

~ Slip torque :
30 - 55 N·m (3 .0 - 5.5 kgf-m , 21 .5 - 40.0 Ib-It)
OIL PUMP
• Remove the outer rotor <D. inner rotor <Z> and pin @.
Inspect the outer rotor CD and inner rotor (2) for any scraches or
other damage. If any damages are found, replace them with new
ones.
I CAUTION I
The oil pump case securing screw @ Is applied with
SUZUKI THREAD LOCK SUPER "1303" . If an attempt
Is made to overhaul the oil pump assembly , the screw
may be damaged. Only the 011 pump unit Is available
as a replacement.

• Apply engine oil to the sliding surfaces of the oil pump inner
rotor, outer rotor and shaft.
• When installing the inner rotor ~ , align the pin @ with the
groove @.
