• After the crankcase bolts have been tightened, check jf the
crankshaft, CQuntershaft, and driveshaft rotate smoothly. If a
large resistance is felt to rotation, try to free the shafts by tap-
ping them with a plastic mallet.
STARTER CLUTCH AND GENERATOR
ROTOR
• Remove the grease from the tapered portion of the crankshaft
and the generator rolor .
.. Install the starter driven gear <D and key \'Z> .
.. Tighten the generator rotor nut to the specified torque using
a 27 -mm offset wrench.
