MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL AND
DISASSEMBLY
• Place a rag underneath the brake hose union bolt on the mas-
ter cylinder to catch any spi
lt
brake
fl
uid. Remove the brake
hose union bolt and disconnect the brake hose.

CAUTION
I
Immediately wipe
off
any
brake
fluid
contacting
any
part
of
the
vehicl
e. The
brake
fluid
reacts
chemically
wi
th
paint
,
plast
ic
s,
rubber
materials, etc., and
will
damage them severely.
• Remove the master cylinder assembly.
• Disconnect the brake switch coupler.
• Remove the brake lever

and brake switch
!%l.
• Remove the reservoir cap @ and diaphragm @.
• Drain the brake fluid.
• Pull the dust boot @ out
and
remove the snap ring @.
