4-4 FUEL SYSTEM
FUEL VALVE
REMOVAL AND INSPECTION
• Remove the fuel tank. (1 ::/ 4-3)
• Drain fuel completely.
• Remove the fuel valve.
A WARNING
Gasoline Is highly flammable and explosive.
Keep heat, sparks and flames away from gasoline .
FUEL STRAINER
If th e fuel strainer is dirty wi th sediment or ru st, fuel will not fl ow
smoothly and loss in engine power may result. Clean th e fuel
st r ai ner with compressed air.
REMOUNTING
Remount the fuel valve in the reverse order of removal.
A WARNING
Replace the removed gasket CD and seal washers (i)
with the new ones to prevent leakage of fuel.
