• Remove the valve timing inspection plug
1 and generator
cover cap

• Turn the generator rotor until the “T” line on the generator
rotor is aligned with the center of the hole in the generator
cover.
NOTE:
Before removing the camshaft journal holders, the piston must
be at TDC of the compression stroke.
• Remove the cam chain guide
3 and camshaft journal holders

• Remove the dowel pins
5, intake camshaf 6 and exhaust
camshaft
7.
NOTE:
Do not drop the dowel pins and camshaft drive chain into the
crankcase.
• Remove the four cylinder head bolts in diagonal stages.
