STARTER CLUTCH
• Hold the rotor using a 27-mm offset wrench and remove the
bolts.
• Install the starter clutch in the proper direction as shown.
NOTE:
When installing the starter clutch onto the rotor, make sure that
the flange side
A in the bearing faces to the rotor.
• Apply engine oil to the starter clutch.
• Tighten the bolts while holding the rotor using a 27-mm offset
wrench.
• Install the starter gear
1 to the starter clutch.
• Check that the rotor
2 turns in the direction of the arrow
3 on
the rotor while holding the starter gear, and that the rotor
never turns in the opposite direction of the arrow.
