Brief Procedures
This subsection contains a collection of procedures for checking that the 2212
Analog & Digital Storage Oscilloscope performs as warranted.
The performance checks described are:
Vertical Checks
Horizontal Checks
Triggering Checks
Probe Adjust check
X-Y
Display Checks
These performance check procedures are used to verify the instrument's
performance requirements statements listed
in
Section
1,
subsection
Warranted Characteristics. The performance checks may also be used as
an
acceptance test or as a preliminary troubleshooting aid to
help
determine
the need for repair or readjustment.
Throughout the test procedures
the
following conventions apply:
- Each test procedure uses the following general format:
Title of Test
Equipment Required
Initial Control Settings
Procedure Steps
- Where instructed to use a front-panel button
or
knob or verify a readout
or status message,
the
name of the
button
or knob appears
in
boldface
type: "Rotate the Vertical POSITION knob to ...
",
etc.
