5.18 Ring Tone Selection and Download
Description
You can select one of Ring tones so that the iPECS IP Phone ring can be distinguished from
other nearby phones. Eight tones are stored in the iPECS IP Phone permanent memory. The first
four tones are fixed and the 5th through 8th Ring tone can be downloaded from a library of 10
tones stored in the system‘s protected memory.
After downloading the tone from the system memory, it can be selected as the Differential Ring
Tone.
If using an LDP Phone, you can select one of 15 Ring tones stored in the phone.
Operation
iPECS IP Phone
To download a Ring Tone from the system memory:
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Dial 15, Ring Tone Download code.
3. Dial the desired Ring tone location, ―5‖~―8‖.
4. Dial digits ―00‖ through ―10‖ to hear the Ring Tones.
5. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
To select the downloaded Ring Tone:
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Dial 11 for Intercom Ring tones, 12 for Line Ring tones.
3. Dial the digit (―5‖~―8‖) to select the Ring Tone.
4. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
LDP Phone
To select the Ring Tone:
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Dial 11 for Intercom Ring tones, 12 for Line Ring tones.
3. Dial the digit (―1‖~―15‖) to select the Ring Tone.
4. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
Conditions
1. The downloadable ring tone files are stored in system memory as *.wav files with a
maximum length of 4 seconds.
