The Vertiv™ SmartRow™ 2 IT rack cabinet (MSR2) conforms to the industry-standard (EIA-310-E) 19-inch cabinet hardware
devices, which includes servers, voice, data, internet network equipment, and more for indoor environments, such as data
centers or rooms.

2.6.2 Thermal management system
The thermal management system includes variable frequency precision air conditioning and emergency ventilation systems,
as shown in the figures in System Appearance and Components on page4 .
The emergency ventilation system is available for indoor environments such as data centers and rooms. When the cabinet is
hot, the system turns on automatically to combat the rising temperature of the enclosed space and to allow maintenance
personnel more time for troubleshooting.

2.6.3 Power distribution system
The power distribution system includes a PDU module that is powered by either a Vertiv™ Liebert® GXT5 UPS 10kVA or a
Vertiv™ Liebert® GXT5 UPS 20kVA. The 20kVAUPS contains internal batter modules. In the PMC10, the PD is mounted to the
10kVAUPS. In the PMC20, the 20kVA uses an external VMBC and a rack PDU extender for the power connection.
NOTE: The 10kVA UPS uses an internal MBC, whereas the 20kVA UPS uses an external VMBC.
