11.2 SmartRow™ 2 Common Issues and Solutions
For troubleshooting the SmartRow™ 2 infrastructure solution, please refer to the following table for commons issues, causes,
and solutions. If your specific issues is not addressed in the below table, contact Vertiv TechnicalSupport.
Category Issue Possible Cause Solution
Temperature
The amount of ambient heat
alert.
Unreasonable value for the high
temperature alarm value.
Check the high temperature warning values of the
temperature and humidity sensors at the adjustment front
door.
Overloaded use. Check if the maximum thermal load exceeds the rating.
Fan operating improperly. Check to see if the fan is open or closed.
Fan failure. Contact Vertiv TechnicalSupport.
Faulty air conditioning cooling
output.
Contact Vertiv TechnicalSupport.
Door not fully closed. Close all unit doors.
The High Temperature
Threshold has been
exceeded, and the alarm is
sounding.
Unreasonable value for the high
temperature alarm threshold
setting.
Reset the value.
Indoor load exceeds design
capability of the equipment.
Check the room seal or further expand the capacity.
The temperature is
imbalanced.
Closed channel area is
obstructed.
Check the closed channel area for equipment or cable
obstructions.
User device not installed
uniformly.
Adjust the individual cabinet loads to equilibrium as required
by the user manual.
Load fluctuates sharply in the
short term.
Check for large fluctuations in the actual load.
The heating has failed.
No heating option available in the
function menu.
Set up the heating option, see section 6.6.5 of the smart row
variable frequency air conditioning user manual V1.3
Control system has no heating
demand output.
Adjust the temperature setting and sensitivity to the desired
range
Heating element is damaged.
Turn off the power. The resistance value of the heating
element is detected with a multimeter
Humidity
The wind transmission
humidity is too high.
Faulty drainage pump. The
drainage pump is faulty
Check the condensate pump interface status and
condensate pump function
The HighHumidity
Threshold has been
exceeded, and the alarm is
sounding.
Unreasonable value for the High
Humidity Threshold setting.
Reset the value.
The Low Humidity
Threshold has been
exceeded, and the alarm is
sounding.
Unreasonable value for the Low
Humidity Threshold setting.
Reset the value.
