2 Getting Started
2.1 Product Overview
The SmartRow™ 2 infrastructure solution is an intelligent, converged solution that utilizes a room-neutral design to simplify
the deployment of edge data centers for single, indoor architectures. The solution contains 19-inch enclosed rack systems
that comply with industry requirements and expectations (EIA-310-E). As a pre-engineered system, the solution comes
equipped with rack enclosures, in-row cooling, hot and cold aisle containment, power distribution and supplies, power and
cooling redundancy options, remote management, and physical security. The design also allows for scalability with a total of 15
available system layout configurations to meet specific user needs.
To get started, this chapter describes general product information including features and benefits, appearance and
components, configuration specifications, required utilities and materials, nomenclatures, and technical specifications.
