5.11 Work operation
Inadmissible work procedures
Working with swivel force
• Do not use the swivel force of the upper carriage to tear down walls or
to create level surfaces.
• Never ram the attachment into the ground when swiveling the upper
carriage.
➥ This can damage the machine or the attachment.
Working with traveling force
• Never ram the attachment into the ground to dig when traveling.
➥ This can damage the machine or the attachment.
Retracting the attachment
• When retracting the attachment, ensure that it does not touch the
stabilizer blade.
Working with falling force by lowering the attachment
• Do not use the falling force of the attachment as a hoe, hammer or pile-
driver.
➥ Working this way can greatly reduce the machine’s service life.
