6.2.1 Unit Settings
The Unit Settings screens displays a list of parameters and controls on several pages. Many of
the parameters were set at the factory before shipping and should not be changed.
1. Go to: Main Menu → Advanced Setup → Unit → Unit Settings.

2. The following fields are available:
• Unit Serial #: Displays the unit’s factory-set serial number in a unique format of G-
YY-ZZZZ or N-YY-ZZZZ. Do NOT change except if replacing the Edge Controller. The
format is:
o G: A letter specific to Benchmark 750-4000 boilers and Innovation Water
Heaters. The letter N is specific to Benchmark 5000 & 6000 boilers.
o YY: The two-digit year
o ZZZZ: A sequential 4-digit serial number.
• Unit Type: Displays AERCO products and models. Do NOT change except if
replacing the Edge Controller.
• KC Boiler
• BMK Boiler Std
• BMK Boiler LN
• KC Boiler LN
• BMK Boiler Std Dual
• BMK Boiler LN Dual
• Unit Size: Displays available sizes for the given Unit Type. Do NOT change unless
replacing the Edge Controller.
• Control Type: Specifies the controller: Edge [ii] (the default for all Platinum units) or
Edge [i]. Do NOT change unless replacing the Edge Controller with an Edge [i]
Controller.
