Symptom: Power trim and tilt unit does not hold the outboard motor up.
Bracket unit
Check the inner parts (valves,
pistons, gears, etc.).
Check that the manual valve is
closed.
Is it closed?
Close the valve.
Check the possible oil leakage
from the power trim and tilt unit.
Oil leakage
detected?
Repair the oil leakage.
Check the power trim and tilt
fluid level.
Is the fluid at
specified level?
Add fluid to the correct level.
