Homing control
Homing establishes a correspondence between the actual position of the driven
machinery and the drive internal zero position.
An encoder must always be used in homing control.
See section Position correction on page 68.
Note: Homing control is not available in local control mode.
Profile velocity control
In profile velocity control, the motor rotates at a speed proportional to the speed
reference given to the drive. The reference is given in position scale units (eg, m/s)
and handled by the position control reference chain (instead of the speed reference
chain).
Profile velocity control is used, eg, with CANopen profile.
Note: Profile velocity control is not available in local control mode.
