Before changing oil, always check the oil level. Always analyze the water content in the exchanged
oil, according to Analyzing the water content in gearbox oil on page 193, to determine the condition
of each gearbox.
If the water content in oil is more than 3%, analyze the new oil within 2 months. Repeatedly high
water content in oil indicates wear of radial sealing in the gearbox.
