Removing motor axis 4
Use this procedure to remove motor axis 4.
NoteAction
If needed, draining of oil is described in
section:
• Changing oil, axis-4 gearbox on
page 179
Move the robot to a position where the up-
per arm is pointing straight up.
This position enables the motor to be re-
placed without draining the oil from gearbox
axis 4. This saves time.
Note
If the upper arm is placed in any other pos-
ition draining of oil from gearbox is required!

DANGER
Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot
working area.

CAUTION
Always cut the paint with a knife and grind
the paint edge when disassembling parts.
See Cut the paint or surface on the robot
before replacing parts on page 219.

Remove the cable gland cover at the cable
exit of motor axis 4.
Make sure the gasket is not damaged!
